Operation Christmas Child
Every year, Samaritan’s Purse collects shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world. Since 1993, more than 220 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. The project delivers not only the joy of what, for many kids, is their first gift ever, but also gives them a tangible expression of God’s love.
The amazing journey of a simple shoebox gift begins with you and results in evangelism, discipleship, and multiplication.
How to Participate
- Grab a shoebox (or more than one). These are available in our auditorium.
- Decide who you want to pack a box for. You can pack for a boy or a girl in any of the following age categories: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.
- Fill with gifts. Use the link below to find gift suggestions.
- Donate $10 per shoebox. This covers gospel materials, shipping, and other project costs. You can pay online, which also allows you to follow your box to its destination country. Use the link below or include a cash/check donation with your box.
- Get your label. We will have labels to attach to your box available in the auditorium.
- Drop off at church by Sunday, November 16th. If you miss the Nov. 16th deadline, you may drop your shoebox off at a local collection point. Search for the nearest location here.
- Pray. Most importantly, pray! Pray for: the child who will receive your shoebox gift, their family to be receptive to the gospel, the pastor of the church who delivers your shoebox, and their community to be transformed by the gospel.
